Preschool
In a warm, caring environment, preschoolers learn about love and trust. These are spiritual qualities which a child can later transfer to concepts of God the Father. First Baptist believes the first five years of a child's life is the time for laying a solid foundation for future spiritual decisions and commitments. The church partners with parents in providing love, guidance and care for the preschool child. You will find a varied program of activities for your child at First Baptist Church. Activities are planned during the year to nurture the preschooler's love for God and to encourage positive feelings about going to church.
Our vision is to reach and teach the preschool children and their parents with the love of Jesus Christ.
Coming to First Baptist Cross Hill is a family affair! It is our desire that your child's time at church be a happy and rewarding experience. Our preschool ministry is staffed with volunteers who lovingly care for your children. Through spiritually aware teachers and a properly graded curriculum, we are laying the foundation for your child's knowledge of the Lord Jesus and his love. We pray that someday he/she may come to know and call...Jesus "Savior."
Children
We have a full and exciting ministry for children in the first through sixth grades! Camps, trips, Vacation Bible School, and numerous activities are planned to meet the needs of growing boys and girls. Sunday School Classes, Girls in Action, Royal Ambassadors, and choir programs help lay a strong spiritual foundation for our children. All of these experiences are for the purpose of leading children to know God's love and to choose to live like and for Jesus.
GLOW is Cross Hill's super COOL ministry for kids. GLOW meets on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7:00pm, EXCEPT for the 1st Wednesday evening of each month. This program is creatively designed to promote friendships and develop Christian character. Our goal is to be Kids On Mission for Jesus as GOD LIGHTS OUR WAY. New children are always welcome to GLOW with us!
Our theme verse for GLOW is, "For our God is a consuming fire!" Hebrews 12:29

RAs, GAs & Mission Friends
RA’s are 1st-12th grade boys who meet together to learn about missions and how to live a Godly life.
Games, Bible studies, working on badges, and learning how to live out the RA Pledge are all incorporated into the First Wednesday evening of every month at 6:00pm. RA’s have the opportunity to participate in camp-outs and several field trips during the year.
The RA Racer Derby is one of the big events held during the year. Each boy designs and builds his racer with the leaders providing help. There are two categories for the cars, design and speed. The top winners are able to compete in the local and district races.

GA’s {Girls in Action} is open to all 1st thru 6th grade girls. We meet the First Wednesday evening of each month at 6:00pm. Girls will learn how to apply mission work in their everyday lives.
“As a GA, I will do my best to live a missions lifestyle that honors God by learning about missions, praying for missions, giving to missions, doing missions, and participating in the work of the church.”
Learning about missionaries and missions is fun when you are involved in Mission Friends!
Age-appropriate learning activities help teach mission attitudes and concepts to boys and girls, three through five years of age.
Mission Friends meet on the First Wednesday evening of the month at 6:00pm.
